Sue & Rich had their heart set on taking engagement photos at the beautiful Grounds of Sculpture, in Trenton, so it was a blow to our enthusiasm when we found the grounds to be closed(the ONE day of the season that it actually is closed). We debated what to do, and agreed that it would be best to reschedule for the following weekend. Our decision was definitely the correct one, for the grounds are nothing short of amazing. Acres upon acres of sculptures were our playground, and I had a blast getting to know Sue & Rich at the same time making fun photographs. Here is a taste of the fun we had!

July 3rd,

I like seeing people happy and relaxed on their wedding day, and Kevin and Aubrie were a shining example of this. Let me transport you all to a time, 5 minutes before your wedding ceremony…. for Kevin and Aubrie, the officiant wasn’t there, and a ring had been lost in the sand. A lot of people may have been freaking out, but they just smiled and knew that everything would turn out ok, there were blue skies over them, and ahead of them. And everything did turn out just fine, the lovely people of the park service came with a medal detector and found the ring, and the officiant showed up shortly there after. Remember on your wedding day that you’re there to join your beloved one, and the blue skies can be your choice, so enjoy

I’m so excited. Can I tell you why I am excited? Well you’re hearing it anyways, because you can’t talk to this blog post. I’m excited for Deanna and Tom!! Tom is the brother of our best facebook advocate Melissa Serrano, and an all around good, goofy guy. I showed up at their backyard for an engagement shoot, and promptly after tripping over a hole their dog made, I got enveloped into their world. Some times you see it when a guy is just a big goof-ball and the girl wants nothing to do with it. But Tom and Deanna are totally made for eachother it seems, she is just as vibrant and fun as him and they keep each other on their toes. A quick behind the scenes moment, If you look down at their engagement video at the bottom of Greg’s last post, you can see it’s entitled “I root for cinnabons” When I arrived, Melissa, Greg, Deanna and Tom were talking about what they would make their gas smell like if they could change it, of course I piped in with the answer “Bakery fresh cinnamon rolls” (an homage to the simpsons) Then, the time they spent in front of the camera was 70% goofing off, and at one point the subject was revisited, and you can hear Deanna say “i vote for cinnabuns” So I am excited, because they are now 2 of my favorite people, cause i’m kind of a goofball too, and I’m so pumped to shoot their wedding, which is coming up real soon! ben has been turning out some amazing work lately, and especially some really great engagement shoots. his talent for seeing things in such a unique way pushes me to be better every day.

i love being able to either go along with him to the shoot so i can film, or just being able to do it on my own. every chance i get to shoot an e shoot, i really try my best to find a new way of doing just that. wether it is on an ice rink, a mountain, or in a back yard by a fire pit, i am excited. i want to let everyone see just how fun it can be, and since many of our couples are thinking about doing a cinema e.shoot, i am going to post several of them. they will range from months ago up to our most recent with deanna and tom, just a few days ago. enjoy..

The summer is getting really busy around here at Endless Wave. June 26th started a back to back weekend for the photo team, and what a wonderful kick off! Melissa and James, like all of our awesome couples had a fun, unique day to celebrate their love, and come together as a couple. I’ll keep this one short, cause there’s a lot of work to do to keep bringing the goods!

meredith and joel had a dream of having their entire wedding on the beach in long branch, nj. the weather was questionable and the decision to hold the ceremony and reception inside or out was at hand. the couple came to the best of both worlds having their ceremony outside (under a tent), and the reception in.

before the ceremony joel and meredith wanted to exchange gifts, and although joel may have had some difficulty wrapping, meredith still loved his gift of course. the weather seemed to let up and the couple wanted to go outside to exchange gifts. their exchange was one of the most emotional i have ever filmed. meredith could hardly contain her emotions, and these emotions became the basis for their same day edit.

Finally,

Sometimes, it’s just hard to make things happen. We had rescheduled this engagement shoot with Rich and Erica twice, due to weather. But when you know what you want, and have a place as amazing as Mohunk Mountain House in upstate NY, you wait to do it right. And boy did we do it right, after a few 90+ degree days, we pulled up to this massive mountain get-away on a blue skied mid 70′s day, so perfect! What an absolutely beautiful place, you can check out their site here . But the most beautiful part of the day was for sure Rich and Erica. A beautiful couple that just exudes warmth and awesomeness (yes, i used awesomeness. It’s the only word i felt did them justice) Their wedding is coming up in October, and we’re very excited. Here are a few images from the day, enjoy!

My darling wife has wonderful friends. All of you Brides and Grooms out there know what it’s like when you merge into your significant other’s social circles. Melissa and Ryan went to Penn State with Lizzy, which is where I met them. They are great people, and I was so excited when I learned I was shooting their wedding. Quick fun fact, Melissa and Ryan were high school sweet-hearts! This was also my first newly-geared wedding (made the switch to canon, now have an alienbee’s strobe amongst other new goodness) I Have about 3 blog posts in queue, so keep checking!

on the path to being a better storyteller, i have had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry, including patrick moreau, konrad cystowski, michael y wong, and casey warren. i have been influenced from studios in australia, canada, the philippines and across the world. i also have many friends locally who i am consistently influenced by. it is because of this that we are able to produce the films that you see here. it is also due to us learning about the couple by investing our time to get to know them well.

sue and brendan are amazing. kind and soft spoken, they both have a way of showing their affection for you without saying much. extremely musically inclined, they are both music teachers. i am also very proud to have known sue for around 10+ years. her father taught me music in high school, and in december of ’09 we were able to film her sisters wedding too. needless to say, we know this amazing family very very well.

i strongly believe that because of all these small things that have happened; learning from the best, being influence by all, and knowing the couples we work with, we are able to tell a much better story now. this SDE is an example of that. in my opinion, this is a wonderful story, filled with almost every event that took place during the day, including breakfast, and brendan’s last day in his classroom for the year. enjoy..
